Kathy joined Pietras Saracino Smith & Meeks, LLP in June 2025, having retired from her previous position as a Supervising Staff Attorney for NJM Insurance Company, the largest Workers’ Compensation carrier in New Jersey. Kathy has dedicated her practice exclusively to workers’ compensation defense since 1996. She has extensive trial experience in the Division of Workers’ Compensation as well as significant Appellate experience. Kathy also has significant experience litigating workers’ compensation coverage issues.
Kathy earned a joint undergraduate degree from Rutgers University and the Rutgers School of Business, New Brunswick, New Jersey in Business Management in 1990. She graduated from Widener University School of Law, cum laude, in 1993. She was admitted to practice law in New Jersey as well as the United States District Court in 1993.
Prior to retiring from her position as Supervising Staff Attorney, she was Attorney of Record for Liberty Mutual Insurance Company and a Shareholder with an outside regional defense law firm in their workers’ compensation department.

Kathy resides in Gloucester County with her husband and two daughters. She has three grandchildren who reside with her stepdaughter in Missouri. Kathy is an avid reader and enjoys spending her spare time watching hockey and football.
